Exotic Adventures In Havstensfjorden

.

Havstensfjorden, West Coast of Sweden 28/5-2017

As natural history film makers, with work based from a sailing boat, we need to adapt ourselves and our work after the weather and sea conditions. And so we do as much as we possibly can :-)

The visibility underwater is currently quite poor at the east coast of the island Orust, which is where our boat "Eja" has her homeport. This still doesn´t prevent us to do some exciting dives of course :-)

.
As we currently need certain over water shots, and the weather forecast for this has been very promising, we have been out filming among the islands in Havstensfjorden for the last few days.

.
We are in the end of May, an amazing time in Sweden when so much is happening in nature. The wildlife is getting their youngs and the islands are so colourful from all the different wild flowers.

When spending time among this wild beauty, I get this happy urge to share it, now resulting in this little blogpost!

.
There are not much people out on the fjord yet, so we have the water and islands almost entirely for ourselves.

An exotic feeling it is to be spending time in this silent paradise, where the sea birds and the slow water movements, are the only ones contributing to the soothing soundtrack of the warm long-lasting sunset...

All this, only a couple of nautical miles from "Eja´s" homeport :-)

.
So grateful I am for the precious time spent in nature and on this wonderful planet. Paradise is on Earth and I love it! :-)

Salty West Coast Breeze

.

Gåsö, Lysekil, West Coast of Sweden, 12/5-2017

From the Atlantic waves, I´m back at the Swedish west coast for a while. The warming sun seems to follow me as I´m welcomed by really nice temperatures (even though short lasting) and perfect conditions for little adventures with "The White Dolphin" (my SUP) :-)

.
Taking advantage of the good weather, we are out at the west coast with the sailing boat to film above- and underwater, and hopefully get some curious seal encounters...

.
A day with "The Muecks" on board "Eja" can look like this :-)

.
During the calm afternoons I like to escape for a while to explore the coast line a bit further. In total quietness, and in company of the wildlife and the moon, I then cruise the islands with the paddleboard.

The cute seals seems to be wondering about my strange behaviour when seeing me "walking" on the water as they curiousily keep following me. Such charming creatures they are those curious, yet shy marine mammals!

.
I so adore the soft, red coloured west coast cliffs! With the SUP, it´s easy to make some landings to feel the sun-warmed cliffs underneath the feet, while enjoying the scenery surrounded.

.
Back onboard Eja, the sun slowly gets lower bit by bit...

.
Each sunset is special in its own way. To observe how the sun dives into the Ocean is simply so awesome and such a cozy and soothing activity! After sunset follows a long lasting dayset...

Long, bright Scandinavian evenings, a sign that summer is close!
