Sharks

Sharks in Cold Waters
Everybody knows that there are sharks living in warm, tropical waters. We normaly see them as big, dangerous and unpredictable.
But is this the truth and is there any sharks living in the cold and dark waters of Scandinavia?

While recording our film project ”Sharks of the North Atlantic” I got  many memoriable encounters with curious sharks in all sizes. From the smallest blue velvet shark , to the bigger deep living greenland shark, great shoals of the under threat of extermination spiny dog fish, and finally also the next biggest shark in the world, the basking shark. Encounters to remember, encounters to share...

"The Life of the Cold Depths"

The aim of our two film projects, "Sharks of the North Atlantic" and "Corals of the North Atlantic" is to show the beauty and great variety of the life hiding under the surface along our coast of Scandinavia.
But how should we do to find the sharks and corals of the North Atlantic? And how deep do we have to dive to be able to get these creatures on film? These are some of our questions and challenges we are going to meet during many months out at sea.

These projects are a co-production between Crystal Water Film Production AB, SVT (Swedish National Television) and with support from Nordvisionsfonden.

You find two short trailers for the films here (via YouTube): "Sharks of the North Atlantic" and "Corals of the North Atlantic".
