Orust, Swedish West Coast 6/7-2017
We are in the month of July and the vacation has started for many in Sweden. Here at the west coast, this often means spending time along the coast where the salty waves invites for both refreshing swims, water sports and boat cruising.
I often get the question what I see when diving in Swedish waters, is there something to see at all?
.
Sure there is!! There is plenty wildlife in different shapes, colours and sizes hiding beneath the many sunseaking holidaymakers! ;-)
.
Below are some few of the many beautiful aquatic friends we normally see when diving in the fjords. The pics are taken in Havstensfjorden and Gullmarsfjorden, on depths from some few meters down to 35 meters.
.
Sadly we do also see quite alot of rubbish on the
ocean floor :-(Enjoy your vacation to the fullest, but please bring your rubbish back home! What is thrown in the sea stays in the sea, for a very long time...
.
When boating or playing among the waves, also respect the wildlife, like seabirds and seals, who have a
stressful time during the intense high season. Remember, the slower you
drive, the more you will see!Happy Summer to you all! :-)
