Azores to Madeira, beginning of June 2019
Finally! After a good time filming around São Miguel Island in the Azores, we set sail and head southeast...
.
500 nautical miles or 4 days of sailing later we reach Madeira :-)
.
We get permission to visit and dive the Desertas Islands which is a natural reserve protected for the local colony of the endangered Mediterranean monk seal that inhabits the islands.
.
We also stay some few nights in Ponta de São Lourenço and Porto Santo, where the clear, blue water invites for underwater exploration.
.
The nice diving and freediving we get to experience here tell us to come back soon for more, but first further adventures call for us...
