To go through the Caledonian Canal is a really nice way to explore the fantastic landscape of Scotland. Here you also get the great opportunity to meet lots of friendly people and new friends.






The canal is leading through the well known lake Loch Ness. Two years ago I spent some time snorceling in the lake in hope to meet the famous monster, Nessie. But all I could see was the never ending brown water, no monster...
Loch Ness is a really beautiful lake and the surroundings are amazing. This time we did not jump into the water. Instead we had a nice and humoristic sailing cross the lake. It is always important with humour and in our boat there is plenty of it!





Our plan is to continue our sailing from Scotland, to the west coast of Ireland and from there south to the Azores. At the moment there is stormy weather approaching the west coast of Ireland and Scotland and we now have to wait until it is getting better.

North sea

Our sailing over the North sea has been really amazing. During our trip we have already had all kind of weather, from total calm sea and heating sun to heavy winds, rain and thunder... These big variations makes the sailing even more exiting!



Early morning Sunday the 5th of June our long sailing voyage starts from the harbour at the Swedish west coast. We are all very exited to finally start our year at sea...!



From Orust, at the Swedish west coast, our first plan is to cross the North sea. In the beginning the weather is perfect and with the wind in our sails we get a really nice speed through the water. Soon the Swedish west coast is disappearing behind us and all we can see is the never ending horizon.


The distance from Orust to Inverness, Scotland, is about 579 nautical miles and is a nice start of our sailing voyage to the Red sea.





It is always nice to meet different kind of life out at sea. The sea birds is always there and are quite curious of our boat. But sometimes we get even bigger company, like dophins and whales. This time we got a huge school of whitebeaked dolphins playing around our boat. A lovely start an early morning!!!



Land in sight! Early morning Thursday the 9th of June we get the first sight of the east coast of Scotland. Four days have past since we left the west coast of Sweden. It is a lovely sight when the puffins, grey seals and bottle nose dolphins welcome us to the waters of Scotland.


What an amazing start of our sailing expedition! We are now in the Caledonian Canal in Scotland and from here we are soon continuing our adventure further south...

The expedition starts!!!

Finally! After a lot of work to get ready for our expedition, it is now time to begin our eagerly awaited adventure! Already since 2007 we have had this project in our minds and after a lot of research and work, we are now really excited to begin our extraordinary year at sea.


The first weekend in June 2011 we are leaving our harbour in Sweden and from here we are heading for our first stop, the British Isles...



So, with a nice quotation from Mark Twain and with the horizon as the only limit, I now let the adventure begin!

New Film Expedition!

An adventurous diving- and sailing expedition through three unique seas.

We are already in May and are now working hard to get ready for our next film project...


After four years of diving and filming in the cold and dark waters of Scandinavia (for the films ”Sharks of the North Atlantic” and ”Corals of the North Atlantic”) it is now time to start a new, longer diving- and sailing expedition...


Our new film project is an adventurous diving- and sailing expedition through three unique seas.


Summer 2011 the expedition starts at the Swedish west coast and from here it continous to the British Isles and the Azores.
I have to say that I really look forward to come back to these magic blue waters again!



From the Atlantic, our sailing continous to Lisbon, Gibraltar and through the Mediterranean...



The final destination of the expedition is the Red sea. Here we will spend many hours, days, even weeks in our diving suits with the aim of getting all the footage we need.




More shortly, our new film expedition is an adventurous sailing voyage, which garanties many exiting and memoriable film- and diving experiences!




This film project is a co-production between Crystal Water film Production AB and Swedish National Television (SVT).
