Two minutes of footage and music from the upcoming film about our sail- and dive expedition from Sweden to the Red sea. An one hour co-production between Crystal Water Film Production and Swedish National Television (SVT).

Hope you like this small sample and want to see more... ;)

Much going on! :)

Oslo, Norway 15/4-2013

There is much going on now, especially on the film front! :)

Our last project about our film- and sailing expedition from Sweden to the Red sea is getting ready for broadcasting at the Swedish National Television.

I will keep the blog updated with more information about the premiere and broadcasting hours...

As you might remember, I spent some weeks in the Canadian Arctic to film bowhead whales together with Loke Film summer 2012.

This production, "The Arctic Giant", is ready as well, and the film will soon be broadcasted at National Geographic.

A great film I truly recommend! :)

Below you find a short sequence from our last day of shooting in the Arctic waters outside of Igloolik in Northern Canada.

Here, we got stucked in the ice and had to spend all night out on the ice, with the result of missing all our flights back to Europe...

A "making of"-sequence by Loke Film for their film "The Arctic Giant".

At the moment we are preparing for our new upcoming project, and it will not take long until the days are spent with a camera in the hands and lots of water above head again.

More about our new project and upcoming film- and field work soon :)

Kendec - "The Two Palm Tree Island"

.

Slussen, Sweden 17/3-2013

Time flies when you are having fun, it truly does...

It feels like yesterday when I started my trip from Sweden to New Caledonia. Now, almost 1,5 months later, I am already back at northern latitudes again. Where did the time go?!

It is right, I have had an awesome stay in the South Pacific and in this blog post I want to share some pics from a very special place...

-Kendec - "The Two Palm Tree Island"

Kendec is a small deserted island off the north west coast of New Caledonia. With its two coconut palm trees Kendec is easily identified already from far distance...

.
Exept the two palm trees, you also find some cactuses and bushes on the island, all surrounded by the sandy beach...

.
Home sweet home!! Our plan is to stay almost a week at this exotic place and so we do.

Spartan living on a small deserted two palm tree island, who can ask for more?? :)

.
The days are hot and sunny and the surrounding waves so tempting!

Hmm... what to do? ;)

.
Well, not a difficult question. It is water time!!! Water time as well as playing time! :)

Either above, or...

.
... beneath the surface! :)

It is true freedom to playfully swim in the blue surrounding, and it never takes a long time before you get curious company...

.
Sharks and corals., sea birds and hermit crabs., palm trees and cactuses... cooling water and warming sand., smiles and happy faces...

Without any doubt, Kendec island offers a great time! :)

Whether it is a deserted island in the Pacific, or a remote mountain area in the much colder Arctic... Daytime or dark night... Above or beneath the rolling waves...

-Beautiful planet Earth truly is an amazing place!

.... :) ....

Coral Sea

.

Tontouta, New Caledonia 11/3-2013

It is early morning, the first sun rays start to appear behind the mountains, and suddenly a new days is born. For me, this is a true magical moment, and a scenery I never get tired of.

.
A new day with new possibilities! A day, waiting for you to get explored and enjoyed... Take the chance and do it! :)

.
Waves or not, the surface always look so inviting. Who knows what is waiting beneath this time?

.
Underwater you are never alone. Here, among all those beautiful corals, there are always eyes watching you...

The marine habitants offers so many different shapes, colours and sizes.

Yes, I know that I have said it before, and though I spend lots of my time in this enviroment, I still never stop getting amazed of this unique life and environment!

.
Coral reefs in the Coral sea, a perfect place not only for reef sharks, for sure a perfect place also for me!! ;)

South Pacific Dream

 .

Pouembout, New Caledonia 5/3-2013

A "private" island in the South Pacific... Well, that might sound more like a dream than reality... :)

.
It has been a long time since last time I wrote on my blog. Days and nights spent on islands at the west coast of New Caledonia is the reason, and I love that reason!! ;)

Oki, oki. Finally time for the first South Pacific island pics...

.
Blue skies, or dark skies, here I always feel at home... :)

.
The days are spent close to water, above or beneath the surface...

Colourful corals, plenty of fish and close shark encounters. Many times I truly wish I could hold my breath much, much longer!!

More pics from the blue world and our curious UW-encounters in the next blog post...

.
Cheerio!!!
